This is an Amethyst from the Red Feather Lakes, Larimar County, located just outside of the town of Red Feather Lakes, in northern Colorado. I purchased this crystal at least 30 years ago from Dave Bunk, back when he was still in his large warehouse in Colorado and had boxes and boxes of Quartz Crystals from Colorado. (Hello, Dave, if you see this! You always had the best minerals!). These crystals don't show up very often, and I'm happy to have a few of them from my own collection go to new owners. These have been in my basement for years and it's time to let some of them go to new owners.
I will enclose a card with location data so these can be recognized by future generations of your family or crystal shop.
